The air hung heavy as if the world had suddenly stopped spinning.

A whirlwind of thoughts drowning him as he couldn't even remember why he woke up laying on the cold ground in the middle of an alley at this time of the night.

His skin tingled, cold shivers running through his entire body, everything about his being felt foreign as of right now.

But the thing that gnawed at him the most was his hunger, a hunger he couldn't describe.
