Ecne has had a normal life for a kid growing up in the suburbs of the Northern Quadrant Siege Capital. Well...as normal as you could expect from a world infested with monsters; and where the Nightmare Spell can suddenly curse you with a cruel and sudden death. However, Ecne sees it as a chance: a chance to become something more than a simple human; to become someone powerful, someone independent...someone legendary. And so, when the spell blesses Ecne with the chance he's been waiting for, he relishes in the opportunity. And promises to not waste it.

Forests become oceans, mountains dissolve into endless plains, and creatures born of chaos emerge in every corner of this broken world. But the greatest threat comes at night. Shadowy predators that hunt in the darkness, vanishing only when struck by light. In the midst of this chaos, a 20 year old woman struggles to protect the only family she has left: her 10 year old brother. Together, they navigate a world that reshapes itself without warning, battling both the horrors around them and the haunting question of what caused this catastrophe. The skies, the earth, the things we love, everything is devoured by this merciless transformation. Forests turn into oceans, deserts into dense jungles, and what was once home yesterday is nothing but a shadow today. In this world, constantly dragging us into the abyss, I have only one purpose: to protect my little brother. He can't see how often I cry at night, how often the fear eats away at me. The shadows are the worst. They come from the darkness, they hunt, they consume. I've seen things I'll never be able to forget. But as long as I'm breathing, I'll keep fighting. For him. For us. This world wants to tear us apart, but it will never succeed. Not as long as I'm here."

3 parts Complete Mature

'Nayeli is a talented but insecure doctor facing the aftermath of a storm. But her greatest terror is sleep; for her nightmares and dreams have turned strange and dangerous of late. But beyond anything she could imagine, Nayeli's dreams have opened a connection to jealous ancient gods, heartbroken killers, and unimaginable power. Unpredictable and unstable, Nayeli must be dealt with by the returning legends of Zeus, Apollo, and Aphrodite, before she reaches her potential. Dramatic, epic, and full of action, Godfall is tale of courage and love across dreams, space, and time.' A young woman must face her deepest nightmares, and dangerous gods, when she finds she can enter dreams. Long banished, the ancient powers of Zeus, Ares, and Aphrodite are reignited in their hunt for the the young doctor Nayeli, a mortal woman with the power of gods. Faced with nightmares made real, and heroes from ancient times, she must find a way to accept her newfound abilities before the gods final plan for humanity destroys them all. BREAKDOWN: Godfall has considerable action, but, I should note, has deep themes and issues that create a slow-build revolving around the main characters fears and dreams, as well as the feuding of the traitorous gods. These are the first three chapters of the book. I would love for beta readers to read the entire novel if anyone is interested.
