'Five years. You will give me your life for five years.' I gulped.
'Could you possibly explain?'
'You will live under my roof and will work for me. Anything I do or ask you will obey to with no resistance.' He paused. 'I will own you for the next five years.' A shiver broke down my spine. Surely... he couldn't be meaning of what I was thinking of.
'What does... work mean exactly?' There was an edge to my voice, and I think I was caught because I swear for a split second, I saw a light blush strike his cheeks.
'I will never touch you, if that is what you are asking.' He paused, looking at me with pure, cruel hatred. 'However, don't think these five years will be easy. You may even wish you were dead. I could ask anything from you, and you will be fully involved with the mafia. You will commit more crimes than you can even think of just to protect your sister. Are you okay with that?'
