Habang si Xaruo Slavedes, isang police na di pinapalampas ang kahit anong krimen. Isang lang ang pinapaniwalaan niya kundi ang batas polisya. Nalaman niya na mayroong End-stage kidney disease (Terminal ill) ang kanyang nag-iisang magulang at nabibilang nalang ang mga araw nito. Naramdaman niya na may mali, lalo na pagkatapos ng kahina-hinalang pagkamatay ng kanyang ina dahil akala nilang mayroon pang natitirang araw bago pa ito lumisan.
