The first chapter of this book began with a young boy named Cosmos in a family of six, whereby he was coming of age into a man. He has always had the feeling of being out of place in the world, or perhaps it is the world which is out of place. He has always been a Genius, which is both a blessing and a curse. This boy has an imaginary friend which he nicknamed Morningstar. He is very picky with his choice of friends, it is not easy finding someone who can match his complex mind. One could say it is because he sees the best and the worst in people.

The storyline took a different route after he got abducted by a dreaded terrorist sect during his NYSC program in Borno State, Nigeria (a program for Nigerian citizens, after they graduate from an higher institution). A lot began to unfold afterwards, he soon discovered that he is just the tip of the iceberg in an entire world filled with principal actors.

Time soon made the readers understand that there are a lot of higher forces at play in this novel; humans with godlike technologies and powers out of this world.
