Once upon a time, Xadia was a unified land, filled with wonder and magic. At the dawn of time, there were six primary sources of magic, the sun, moon, stars, earth, sky and ocean. But a thousand years ago, a magician from a human tribe discovered a new power, the seventh source, black magic. It uses the essence of all magical creatures to awaken the forces of evil. Terrified by this sight, dragons and elves decided to put an end to the madness. Human mages, however, did not want to give up, and stood up to fight against the elves and dragons. The human mages using unimaginable black magic began to win. But then on the side of the elves and dragons stood the Flenimu, born from the union of human and elf. With their help, they managed to drive the humans westward. Then the continent was divided into two parts, Xadia or the eastern magical land and the western kingdoms of humans. For centuries the border was guarded by the dragon king himself. the people called him Thunder, because his voice made the earth and sky tremble. But before the day of the last coming of winter, people exterminated Grom, and then without a shadow of mercy destroyed his only egg, his successor, the dragon prince. As Claudia and Terry help Aaravos on his mission, they come across Callum, Rayla, Ezran and the gang, they try to convince them that Aaravos isn't as bad as they thought, and that he means no harm to them." As soon as everything seems to settle down after the battle and they are awaiting the celebration feast of victory; Andron, a human who was presumed dead has returned with ill tidings. He claims to have seen a large force growing of all creatures as if a great attack was being planned. Included in his sights were a strong and growing force of Nacropi, a new species of giant scorpions brought to life by Necromancers. He claims they are preparing for war if there is any chance to survive something must be done right away. Searon has to turn his defensive ideas to the wizard Karceoles, and the new elven archer he just met Anaela. He begins to develop a fondness for Anaela right away, a fondness that isn't shown from even the rest of the elves, because she is an outcast- being the only wood elf in a high elf city. Normally Searon would confide in his good elven friend Starlyn, but she had an important task that she had to leave on in secret. Nobody seems to know where Starlyn went, or what was so important to her that she abandoned them, and her lifelong cause of finding her sister Arria. Meanwhile while she's gone Arria beings to surface once again, finally coming from the shadows to reek havoc on Sudegam. Searon must decide if he can help lead the elves to victory, or if even the new human alliance with the elves won't be enough, and another alliance needs to be formed, a dangerous alliance.

But when a band of Moonshadow elves invade Katolis and kill King Harrow, she and her companions are thrown on a journey to take the Dragon Prince, who was presumed dead, back to his mother. Callum feels a strange presence and decides that with 4 years left before Aaravos returns, they needed to find a way to defeat him for good as quickly as possible. Esvran initially disagrees with his brother's reckless choice, but decides to help by calling someone familiar to the mission with Terry. While Callum, Rayla, Soren and Corvos go ahead in search of the moon's primary rock that Aaravos had created 3 years ago. This is a spoiler-free summary of Book 1. I intend to release 3 books IN THE SAME HISTORY, as the creators of the series said there would be 3 more seasons, so as I don't have the patience to wait 7 years for the eighth season to arrive, here's what I think will happen.
