Horror in their eyes. There was one thing that Keith didn't understand. He never saw his parents when they died. All of it was in his head. His nightmares. <><><><> Keith Kogane, or Kathrine Kogane as his birth certificate says, is a trans-boy orphan who has gone from house to house, being rejected by all his families. He assumes this one is no different, but what he doesn't know is that this family is (What any family should be like) accepting of his choices. (Ok. I get it, I'm not very good at summaries and such but yeah...don't judge it by the summary. It's a lot better than it sounds ok) Warning. This is a mature story. There is a lot of fluff. "Cas, it's not going to break." Dean, just to prove it, stomps once, twice, three times against the ice. He even slams both feet down against it just for good measure, laughing when his foot slips and he crashes to the ice. "Dean!" Cas yelps, tears welling in his eyes and hands reaching for Dean. "Cas, I'm fine," Dean assures, moving to stand, eyes locked on Cas. Then the ice breaks, and Dean falls through. The last thing he sees is Cas' horrified face, helpless to stop him from falling before the cold hits him, stabbing the air from his lungs with fingers like knives and stealing every thought in his brain. He was pulled from the water that day, but later, he would remember the exhilaration of the ride and the joy of the laughter and the fear of the fall and the cold of the water, and he would think that that's what loving Cas has always felt like. The bottle landed on me, butterflies shot up and down my stomach. I was going to be in a cloest for a full 7 minutes with the one and only; Jake Hefferson. The school's quaterback and heart throb. We were like the worst mix, I was a straight A student and he was just the jock of the school. The only reason I was at this party was because it was my best friend; Molly's boy friends party. It took her for ever trying to convience me too come, and now I really do regret it. Jake was hot an all but he had the worst personality ever, he had a new girl wrapped around his arm everyday, and they don't seem to realise he only wants to get in their pants. 'Great' He muttered. Way to make a girl feel like utter crap Jake, well that's what he was used to doing anyway. I sighed at the thought of sharing air with this boy with an IQ of a tortoise. His family is broken, his mental health is slowly declining, and he's faced questioning his sexuality. Often left to sit in his bed on his phone most of the day, his reasons to live were slowly declining. Tom thought it was better this way. It was better to not disturb anyone, to wear the same clothes over and over, and to stay boring. All, of course, until Tom met him. Updates every Friday. The packed lunches stopped coming when he turned ten. Eleven, the birthday parties ceased. At fourteen, his younger brother was 'too old' to have to share his room, so A.J. was moved to the small laundry room. At sixteen, there were no more 'I love you' or 'have a good day'. At seventeen, the lunch money stopped and the hateful glares started. Then the angry words. Everything he did was wrong. The dishes weren't clean. The laundry wasn't folded right. By the time he finally graduated, a few days after his nineteenth birthday, there was no more attention of any sort. They ignored him, except to tell him that his chores weren't done well enough and that he didn't deserve to eat until they were. A.J., desperate for some sort of attention, and honestly starving, tried one last thing to get them to at least show so semblance of caring, even if it was negative. He told them that he was gay.
