Isobel Malone, a sewer scavenger, operates the drains aboard the vessel Jammy Dodger. Left with the responsibility of supporting her family in dire need of money, she steals a priceless, crowned ruby from the notorious Toad, only to have it shattered by a privileged rodent named Roddy St. James. Stranded and desperate to return to Kensington, Isobel strikes a deal with Roddy: she will take him up top in exchange for a replacement ruby. However, the Toad's relentless henchmen, hot on their trail, quickly jeopardized their journey. Will these unlikely allies manage to cooperate and triumph, or will the dangers of their mission close in on them?
Hi, author's note. This is a fanfiction of the Aardman and DreamWorks animated film Flushed Away. My story follows closely to the original plot, but I replaced Rita with my OC and focused more on her storyline. (I traced over a picture of Rita to show you what she looks like in the first chapter) Also, to add more to the romance with Roddy, since I felt robbed as a kid without a kiss or a love confession. But anyway, this is my first story, so I hope you like it, and don't be afraid to drop some criticism or praise!
