Butterfly [h.s]

Adeline Jones wasn't one to chase celebrities, or anyone, really. She had her own life, and a busy one at that-juggling between her architecture job, the pressure of living in an entirely new city, and trying to keep up with her overly energetic best friend, Yamini. But when her best friend drags her to a charity gala in NYC, promising it would be "life-changing," she reluctantly agrees. Little did she know, her friend wasn't exaggerating.

"Do you know what the butterfly effect is, Dells?" He asks me, deep in thought.
"Yeah, like the flap of a butterfly's wings may seem insignificant, but in reality it could have caused a chain reaction of events," I say, staring at the stars above us.
His head is turned towards me. He examines every inch of my face, almost like he's trying to memorize me.
"You're my butterfly, Adeline."
And he was mine.
