The Bridgerton family was not only one of the largest family's but one of the most well known, where when they were young and their father was alive, Dorothea was practically his favorite, where he'd share his books with her and enjoyed her outgoing personality, being reminded of her mother.

Yet when their father died from a bee sting, the entire family dynamic changed as Anthony, the oldest brother took over alongside their mother, Dorothea closed herself off to everyone and stuck to her books.

Where when it came time to debuted into society, Dorothea wanted nothing to do with it, having always despised the idea of marriage, yet her mother believes this will be a way to keep her from being like her, a wallflower, while her brother Anthony is really happy about it.
