This is Berk, it's 12 days north of hopelessness and a few degrees south of freezing to death. It's locaded solidly on the Merdian of Misery. My village, in a word Sturdy. Its been here for over seven generations but all the buildings are new. Fishing, hunting and the charming view of sunset the only problems are the pests. You see... most places have mice or mosquitos. We have... Dragons.
" Why haven't you killed me yet?" the words left my mouth before I even knew it. Looking at the majestic creature in front of me. The dragon just looked at me. I put a hand over my eyes, the stress being too much. Something snapped in my head when the dragon did the same action as I did. Looking at its eyes I realized... That dragon is me.

Hiccup is banished from Berk for befriending a dragon, a Vikings mortal enemy, rejected for the last time, Hiccup leaves Berk after the Vikings spit on his vision of peace with dragons and he is the only one who knows where the dragons nest is and the monster that sleeps within its mountains.
