Harper ran away when she was 14 and has spent the last 4 years alone in the Hollow Hill cabin. Everything was fine until she met him. Anyone in Harper's situation wouldn't trust him. Or would they? She finds herself having to fight to survive. This was way beyond having to hunt for food instead of risking getting noticed in town and this is beyond anything her father had even taught her.
