Pete's life is all about living in the moment. He's allergic to commitment, thrives on spontaneity, and has made a business out of being the perfect partner-for hire. When Zo books him for the wedding, Pete expects another easy gig. Zo, however, is anything but easy. Between awkward moments with Zo's ex, meddling wedding guests, and the sparks flying between the fake couple, Pete quickly realizes this job is more complicated than usual.

After one too many glasses of champagne and a dance floor confession, Zo and Pete share a passionate one-night stand that neither can shake. Zo, despite his heartbreak, finds himself drawn to Pete's carefree spirit, while Pete is intrigued by Zo's vulnerability hidden beneath his perfectionist facade.
