Noah West hasn't had a very easy life. It all started when he was taken from the only home he's ever known and pushed into a group home. As bad as home life is, school life isn't any better. He has no escape, nowhere to run to.

Zane Tucker is a sophomore in college. He's upbeat and positive, despite the thoughts that occasionally still linger in the back of his mind.

Enter Samarah Harlow, a psychologist and the aunt of Zane and Noah's new therapist. When Sam introduces them to each other, she doesn't expect anything to come of it. But maybe, just maybe, she's inadvertently given Noah a place to run.
