Ever since they were little, Soul has struggled with anxiety, and Jongseob with depression. They meet at a young age, becoming neighbors after Soul's father had gotten a new job far away from where they lived previously. Having grown up together with untreated mental illness, Soul and Jongseob are quite codependent and toxic toward each other. Despite this, they develop what they feel are romantic feelings for one another. Through trial and error, arguments, and plenty of miscommunication, they learn to accommodate each other's needs. All of this, despite their uninvolved parents and overprotective older brothers.
