Tides of love

PhumPeem are getting married and Tan is thrilled. He arrives a month before the occasion to help his friends in the preparations. He meet Fang for the first time and he is swooned.

Tan felt the sweat on their still intertwined hands and pulled back. "Why don't you stick around and see for yourself? You might just find out I'm more of a helper than a troublemaker."

"We'll see about that, N'Tan. You're under my surveillance now." Fang teased him, narrowing his eyes at him.

Phum's eyes narrowed as he studied Tan, his lips pressing into a thin line. "Curious, huh? Look, Tan, Fang's not the easiest guy to deal with. He's got his walls up, and I'm not sure I want someone making things harder for him."

Fang watched him for a moment, his hand lingering for just a second longer before he pulled away. "You're lucky I'm too soft on you,"

Tan brought Fang a plate of food without Fang needing to ask.
"They're like an old married couple," Peem added with a grin, earning a chuckle from the group.

"Fang, stop acting cute. It won't work on me."
"Who's acting?" Fang countered, his words slightly slurred but his grin unrelenting. "I'm just being me. And you like me, don't you, P'Tan?"

"Answer me sincerely," He started "Do you like me?"
"Yes, I do," He mumbled quietly.
