Lady Marian of Knighton has committed the ultimate sin. She has killed the Sheriff of Nottingham, in a desperate attempt to save the king's life. But now, she is a prisoner of Sir Guy of Gisborne, having been caught in the act.
Robin Hood, hero of the poor, has been duped by the very people he helps, in a terrible twist of fate. Trapped in a barn in Nettlestone with his men, he awaits certain death in the morning, and only thoughts of his beloved Marian see him through.
But, unbeknownst to him, Marian faces a similar fate, and he is unable to rescue her.
Is this the end for the two star-crossed lovers? Or will help arrive at the very last minute?

Guy meets again - after many years - Lady Violet of Chetwood, a childhood friend of Robin Hood; the widow of a man who mistreated her, the young woman has returned to her ancestral mansion and has always helped her friend Robin since he has been declared an outlaw, and therefore she's not well-disposed towards Guy, whom she knows since she was a child. Complicated dynastic events, however, will force her to approach precisely the black-clad knight for a marriage of convenience... These are horrible time in the kingdom. While King Richard left his country in the cruel and greedy hands of his brother Prince John, the city is falling to despair and ruin having no true leader to protect them. Somehow though, the city find hope of a young man with the name of Robin Hood. While he helps his people many other problems happen in this kingdom. The Kings Daughter, Isabella, has been forced to stay with her cruel cold hearted Uncle.When she has enough of her uncle and plans to run away, Robin comes to the rescue, but Isabella is anything but happy about meeting him....again. This was a follow on to my first ever attempt at fan fiction, Marian's Lessons in Love and I wrote this in 2010 having watched the BBC series of Robin Hood This story is set somewhere in the early part of season 2 of Robin Hood and is inspired by Guy & Marian. These are my own ideas on what should have happened between them. No copyright infringement intended - I did not create these characters I have just borrowed them for this fiction.
