Lady Marian of Knighton has committed the ultimate sin. She has killed the Sheriff of Nottingham, in a desperate attempt to save the king's life. But now, she is a prisoner of Sir Guy of Gisborne, having been caught in the act.
Robin Hood, hero of the poor, has been duped by the very people he helps, in a terrible twist of fate. Trapped in a barn in Nettlestone with his men, he awaits certain death in the morning, and only thoughts of his beloved Marian see him through.
But, unbeknownst to him, Marian faces a similar fate, and he is unable to rescue her.
Is this the end for the two star-crossed lovers? Or will help arrive at the very last minute?

This is the story of Aylaina MacLeod, aTime Traveler. But the Robin Hood legend she discovers, is not like any other legend she has ever read about. Follow along as Aylaina becomes part of the Merry Men and the mischief she gets into as she tries to make her mark on history. I have incorporated the final two episodes of the BBC series that aired in 2009. "Something Worth Fighting For" My objective was to put right what once went wrong by sending a young woman from the fuqture to change history. If you are expecting a dark, Twighlight-like Guy, youwere'll be a bit disappointed. My 'Guy' is a tortured soul, yes, brooding , yes, but he has a side that comes out upon meeting the heroine. I believe you will recognise the character as Richard Armitage portrayed him and I believe I have captured the personalities of the other characters from the series. This was a follow on to my first ever attempt at fan fiction, Marian's Lessons in Love and I wrote this in 2010 having watched the BBC series of Robin Hood This story is set somewhere in the early part of season 2 of Robin Hood and is inspired by Guy & Marian. These are my own ideas on what should have happened between them. No copyright infringement intended - I did not create these characters I have just borrowed them for this fiction. This story starts five months after Marian's lessons in love. Guy and Marian have been married for 9 weeks. Somehow, Alex escaped death and was followed home to England accompanied by knights that pledged their fealty to the brave Alex. After finding out what has happened to Nottingham in their absence. Appalled at the changes made by the sheriff they sought to find one known as The Man in Black. Alex's honor, integrity, and vow to King Richard makes him stay in Nottingham to right the wrongs that he has already seen. It's only when the secrets are revealed that changes can be made. I have this rated as mature but I would consider it to be more of an R rating.Complete
