Astrid Chen has always been perfect in the eyes of everyone. Her grades are excellent, her dream of dancing ballet seemed within reach, and her life was as perfect as it could be. Until one day, a ballet injury forced her to put her dreams on hold, and when she returns to school, she finds out she's no longer at the top of her class. Klein Blue, a prodigy who seems to excel at everything without trying, has taken that spot. Astrid has always hated natural talent, believing success should come from hard work alone. She finds herself hating him-everything about him. The way he excels without trying, the admiration he receives, and the fact that he never had to struggle like she did. As their rivalry grows, she begins to question if the price of being the best is truly worth it, especially when her perfect world starts to unravel.
