On a little island called Patch there lived a happy family the Roses and Xiao Long's, Taiyang Xiao Long, Summer Rose, Yang Xiao Long, and Ruby Rose, and the occasional visit from Qrow Branwen, and Tai's Ex Raven Branwen who had tried to mend her relationship with Tai but was heartbroken when she learned he had married summer and had a daughter with her and the ladder not coming to visit as much because of multiple missions assigned him by Ozpin. But now let me introduce you to the youngest member of the family Alex Rose the second child of Summer and Tai two years younger the Ruby and four years younger the Yang but is treated like trash by the entire family from emotional to physical abuse he endured since he was 4-years-old he was even treated like a slave he doesn't know why or how it started but he doesn't care he just wanted it to end he just wanted to be loved. One night when the family went out to have fun Summer forgot to turn the stove off and the house caught fire with Alex still inside he escaped but his left arm was covered in 3rd degree burns and was now completely useless after walking through the woods for what felt like hours he felt his arm slowing him down and it hurt so bad so he had to amputate it, it was a slow and agonizing process and when he was done he wrapped the nub that was left of his arm in what little clothes he had and fell to the ground he closed his eyes happy because if he died then maybe just maybe he would have a better family in his next life but what happens when I'm serious object from the stars grant him a new sense of purpose in life as a hero?
