Pointed Ears

Our story is set in a high fantasy realm of magic, monsters, and adventure. The land on which the story takes place is a continent split into three states, the north, religiously militarised but is however the smallest of states, subjected to numerous borderlines redrawn the people of the Northern state are being pushed into a corner both culturally and in terms of land controlled.

The South Eastern and South Western states have been in a dead lock cold war for years, near side giving an inch of land nor their resources in an attempt to starve each other out, both with finite agriculture and industrial capabilities.

The Northern state is in the most dire straights, subjected to land poaching and famine brought on by the two southern states. The north has been in a perpetual depression.
Agriculture is near to non existent in the north and any attempt to seek foreign aid has been rejected as to not invoke the wrath of the two larger states should they chose to focus their efforts anywhere other than on each other.

The character whom the story will focus on will be Shoshana, a high elf born in the north, her mother is a prominent leader within the church and has been pushing for Shoshana to join their holy order.
