The Masked Within

Lila woke to the same gray light streaming through her bedroom window, the world outside undisturbed. Everything was ordinary, except for the strange, cold weight on her face.

This story is about a young teenager who discovers a porcelain mask on her face... no one notices.
slowly, she starts becoming numb, and the mask is just a normal part of life.
She doesn't remember what her old face looked like, only the new one, slowly but surely growing number and number until she just doesn't care, and pushes all emotions away thinking... It might be easier like this.

The porcelain mask is ment to represent, her masking her emotions and wearing fake ones.
