Its VERY loosely based off the Sonic X TV series I grew up with from the early 2000s. I was very much inspired by Sonic and Chris's relationship. Chris Thorndyke was one of my favorite human characters from the show and I related a lot to him growing up. All I did was gender and race swapped Chris, who is now named Christy, to fit my personal headcannons. Christy also contains a little bit of my own personality traits and characteristics. Without spoilers, my story is mostly about Sonic and Tails who got sent to Earth during a fight with Robotnik, also known as Eggman. With the help of Christy and her best friend Emily, Sonic and Tails struggle to get back home to their planet, Mobius. This is my first attempt at writing fanfiction or any story in general so please be nice. I absolutely WILL NOT tolerate rudeness and bigotry whatsoever when you can easily just block and ignore me. Hello! This is a complete reboot/rewrite of the show Sonic Underground Please read the whole desc! Will personalities, backstories, and story be changed? Yes. Absolutely. Will there be dark themes? Oh, yes, absolutely. But I'm just excited to finally show this. Updates will be slow but chapters will usually come in bunches. Sonic wants to be a hero. At least, that's what he should want. But he's terrified of putting his uncle and little brother in danger. But when the tyrannical Dr. Robotnik pushes things too far, he's ready to take on whatever. Manic doesn't exactly have anything. And he doesn't think he should care all that much, even if he unfortunately does. But when he's finally given a chance at having purpose, he's ready to do anything to hold onto it. Before Sonic and his friends ever appeared in the human world due to Chaos Control, G.U.N. - or Guardian Units of Nations - had already created a life form that surpassed even the likes of the "Project: Shadow" Nobody could have guessed that they, without the brilliant mind of the fabled Dr. Gerald Robotnik, that they could have made such a valuable military asset. "Project: Genesis," designated as Unit-02 due to him being the second coming of the "Ultimate Life Form," was an attempt at making a truly loyal weapon that would win any conflict with just the flick of the wrist. Using the DNA of Shadow the Hedgehog and harnessing the Chaos Energy within his blood, they created a clone, a superior entity wielding abilities to rival that of a god. He was beautiful- perfect even, and yet there was a flaw in his design. For all his power, his purpose for his existence remained firmly out of his grasp, and his "creators" didn't bother helping. Even with the lingering words of Ambertwo... "You're alive, and life is wonderful." Her final words echoed like a never ending mantra in his mind filled with so many different thoughts and questions. When Unit-02 woke up in the real world after being fully developed, the ones who created him never expected for their creation to rebel against them so... quickly. Fire and ruin was brought down upon them as a psychic force greater than any other destroyed the facility as quickly at the Ultimate Life Form's awakening. In the aftermath of the carnage, within the flaming wreckage of divine wrath, a man approached 02 with an offer- to master his power and conquer the world. Yet, this brought no satisfaction to him as he learned to master this seemingly chaotic, this uncontrollable power. But when she asks one of them, they would simply state it was just a misunderstanding and nothing was really wrong. Since she was so young back then, she believed their words. In school, she was always being bullied. She didn't want her mother to know, so she asked her dad for help. But his dad ignored and said they will soon stop. As (Y/N) grow up, she's slowly becoming aware of what's happening around her. Her parents would now frequently argue with each other than they used to before. Their fights only got worse as time passed. She didn't believe in their excuses anymore. She knew something was wrong. At that stage, she felt her own parents despise her. She can see and sense they didn't love her anymore. The bullying In school got physical. (Y/N) was depressed. She felt nothing but loneliness. One day (Y/N) was waiting for her father to get her in school, but no sight of him came. She decided to go home by herself knowing he might be busy due to his work. When she got home she saw the lights were off. It was oddly quiet too. She called her parents but no one responded. She then knew they had abandoned her. After her parents leave, she can only trust herself. She was only loved by herself. She learned how to survive everyday by herself. But luckily, some of her neighbors knew her situation and would make small helps. But despite that, her situation only made her more depressed. Knowing her parents won't come back for her anymore.
