The Music of Love

Mackenzie "Kenzie" Jones, a 16-year-old sophomore, faces a life filled with relentless challenges. At school, she endures bullying from seven tormentors, including her former best friend, who abandoned her. At home, she's subjected to emotional and physical abuse from a cold and uncaring family. These hardships fuel her struggles with anxiety and depression, often leading her to contemplate disappearing from the world.

Everything begins to change when Kenzie discovers a school club centered around forming a musical girl group. Here, she meets four members who soon become her allies: Ashley "Ash" Del Rosario, a spirited Filipino girl; Liliana "Lily" Martinez, a warm and supportive Hispanic member; Roseanna "Rose" Kang, a determined Korean-American; and Emily Chen, a kind-hearted but sassy Chinese-American. Together, through music and friendship, the group helps Kenzie rediscover her self-worth, heal her wounds, and find hope in a brighter future.
