The Mushroom Kingdom is no longer the chaotic, comedic haven it once was. A sinister virus known as Necroflora has emerged, bridging a decayed, lifeless universe to their own. This cursed connection spreads a relentless plague, turning its victims into grotesque, poisonous trees. SMG4, Mario, and their friends must navigate a world unraveling into horror and mystery as they uncover the origins of the virus and the secrets of the dead universe. Will their wit and courage be enough to sever the connection, or will the Mushroom Kingdom succumb to the Necroflora's rot?
