The Mushroom Kingdom is no longer the chaotic, comedic haven it once was. A sinister virus known as Necroflora has emerged, bridging a decayed, lifeless universe to their own. This cursed connection spreads a relentless plague, turning its victims into grotesque, poisonous trees. SMG4, Mario, and their friends must navigate a world unraveling into horror and mystery as they uncover the origins of the virus and the secrets of the dead universe. To the groups surprise, the crystal gives each and one of them a special power. Except for SMG4. When they realize what kind of power the crystal really holds, SMG4 decides to take it back to the Showgrounds for further inspection and safety. Not just for that... but to also figure out why all of his friends have something special within them, but he doesn't. But what he doesn't realize is that power is hungrier than the people who want it. ("Episode" in the title basically means that it's an episode length instead of the usual novel or "movie" length.) Lavernius Tucker: Badass, Leader, Hero, and Friend. Those were the words that were marked on his grave when he was presumed dead as Felix trapped him in a Pelican that was armed with explosives and experimental UNSC technology to bait him.
