Stepping into Adulthood
The story is about a group of friends. They're about to graduate from high school and step into their respective college life. On one hand they have the immense pressure of the school final exam and on the other hand they're filled with nostalgia. They're about to close one chapter of their life and step into another one. The story starts on the last day at school. Coming to school together for the last time, sitting together for the last time, having lunch together for the last time, bunking classes together for the last time, getting scolded / punished together for the last time. All of these combined create an environment where the students are completely immersed into enjoying their final day at school. They'll be leaving the school soon. They'll become the past tense while a new batch takes their place and a new future waits for the present one to become past. So, everyone's busy making one last memory. Some eager to bid farewell to their friends, some taking one last shot to propose to their crushes or some maybe just want to get it over with. Overall everyone's busy trying to make their ending(of school life) a happy ending. But the pursuit of a happy ending isn't always happy. Complications are very real things. Settling Slowly
2015 rolled in with a bang, and it did not have the grace to gift me with a social life that everyone in a one hundred year radius would be jealous of or that is even just the talk of the town. Instead I got myself into a complicated relationship which wasn't much talked about, a relationship that I didn't get into is talked about all the time and university is around the figurative corner. That is where you can factor in people I suppose I should call 'fans', the fascination that comes in with cutlery, pots, pans and other formerly boring things. But let us not forget that my parents are finally getting married and Mum can't shop for lace without me wanting to kill her, add in a dose of sleepless nights, invigorating kisses - which have nothing to do with the sleepless nights and a lot to do with nightmares - Harriet not knowing the meaning of the words "you're done" and Ice Ice Baby is still a thing. We're all growing up (except Dad who will still make inappropriate jokes at every inappropriate moment, some to do with what cannot be done when you're wearing a plaster cast) and holidays are being planned though some are less holiday and more a mad dash to find somewhere to live out in the big wide world without our parents.
