Hello all! This is a very short story about one of my characters, Lioke, from a project I call SotMS, with a little bit of his backstory.
It's a touch angsty, so if you're looking for a completely uplifting Christmas fluff piece, this may not be it, but Lioke's story is one that's very near and dear to my heart and I wanted to share a little of it. It does have a hopeful ending, don't worry <3

The Christmas Hope Project
(Will hopefully get the chance to rewrite. :D) The Christmas Hope Project gives students a chance to understand what Christmas is truly about. Each year, a different student hosts TCHP in order to make each one different and as memorable as the last. TCHP is known for it's 'magical powers' in granting someone's holiday wish. I never believed the rumor, I had always thought that it was a lie to get people to sign up to host it. Until I hosted it, that is. My holiday wish? To find a place where I truly belong. ~~~~ "I stopped taking pictures to leave the person I once was in the past." He wrapped an arm around my waist, spinning me to face him. "But one day, when your memory starts to fade, all you'll have are photos. To remind you of who you were, who you are." The sadness in his eyes had disappeared, replaced by something else. "To remind you of where you came from, who you came from. To remind you that you lived." I was stunned silent by his words, left reeling from the thoughts. I was conflicted. On one hand, I was moved by his words. On the other hand, I'd be losing who I thought I was. "I..." I couldn't find anything to say.
