Elem Carthelin is a pretty normal teen. Goes to highschool, gets okay grades, has a part time job, a couple of hobbies, etc...
Then, he died. Pretty normal end if you exclude that it was from a falling air-conditioning unit.
Not so normal when he woke up inside a coffin in another world. As another species, and gets sorted into a school dorm run by what he believes to be the head of an organised crime syndicate. Oh, and the world just so happens to be based of a video game. That is based off a childrens show.
