Kildare County was an island on the Outer Banks divided by social classes. You had the north side of the island, home of the Kooks. They were the wealthy, high-society class. Then, you had the south side, home of the Pogues. They were fishermen or people who had to work two or three jobs to keep food on the table.
On the north side, you had the most prominent family of Kooks.
Dahlia Richards and her first husband, Antonio, had three kids: Anna, Preston, and Elizabeth. After a shady business deal, he was sent back to Brazil; Anna went off the rails. According to Dahlia, Anna shamed the family when she got involved with Pogues. At nineteen, Anna got pregnant with her daughter, Kiara, and hurried to marry off her now husband, Mike Carrera.
Her middle child, Preston, continued his father's business in Florida. He was still a single bachelor who focused on work.
But Dahlia's youngest child, Beth, gave her some hope. After going on a school trip in her senior year, Beth met a boy, Spencer Carrington. After Beth graduated, she got pregnant with her first daughter, Kalani, and then married Spencer six months post-partum. Spencer was a Kook in every way. A year and a half later, the two welcomed a second daughter, Nicole.
Meanwhile, Ward Cameron and his first wife, Eloise, had just moved from the south side of the island to the middle part. They were considered "new money" since Ward's company, Cameron Development, was starting to gain some attraction. They also had two kids, Rafe (4) and Sarah (2), and Eloise was pregnant with their third child.
Kai and Rafe will marry in the summer of 2020 after nearly fourteen/fifteen years together. It's just family business, right? Two prominent families merge together.
However, Dahlia would have more issues regarding her two other granddaughters, Kie and Nico.
