After the second war, the wizarding world in England was left in shambles.

Death Eaters were locked away and their children left destitute.

"Let me help you!" Granger yelled. "You know this isn't right why won't you fight it!"

I grit my teeth and turned back towards her. "YOU ARE THE BLOOD SAVIOUR GRANGER! You can do whatever the fuck you want. I CANNOT! THEY'LL KILL ME!"

"But I can protect you!" She yelled back.

The sound of the rain became thunderous the droplets feeling almost like knives on my skin.

I looked at her almost pleading with her to let this go. To let me go. This will only end in disaster.

I surged forward and she did the same out lips meeting in a desperate attempt of reconciliation. Me, trying to let her go. And her, trying to pull me as close as she could.

I pulled away and rested my forehead against hers and just for a moment I felt my childhood return. I wasn't a wanted criminal and she wasn't a minister... We were just Hermione and Lyra...

But that wasn't true. I'm a criminal, an outcast. The scourge of society.

There's no happy endings for me.
