Arjun and Aaradhya has always been competitive with each other. Whether it's topping exams, answering questions in class, or outshining each other in clinical practice, they are always at odds. They were not even ready to accept the marriage between their elder siblings. In this case something major happens, "Arjun, put that book down for a moment. There's something important we need to discuss," she said. He glanced up, frowning. "Can it wait? I have a test tomorrow." "No, it can't," she said firmly, sitting beside him. "Your father and I have been talking with Aaradhya's family..." The mention of Aaradhya's name made him stiffen. "What about them? Did they finally admit she cheats on every test?" "Arjun!" his mother chided. "This is serious. We've decided you and Aaradhya should get married." Meanwhile, at Aaradhya's house, a similar conversation was unfolding. Aaradhya's father paced the living room as she sat frozen, a cup of coffee untouched in her hands. "Marriage? With Arjun?" she asked incredulously. "The same Arjun who once reported me to the professor for being late? The same Arjun who-" "Enough, Aaradhya," her father interrupted. "This is what we've decided. Families like ours don't let petty arguments stand in the way of good alliances." Back at college the next day, they crossed paths in the hallway. Arjun, visibly irritated, stopped in his tracks when he saw her. "So, did your parents drop the bombshell too?" "Yes" replied Aaradhya with a great amount of annoyance. ||A south indian cross cousin love story|| 🌸 Note: In certain South Indian traditions, marriage between a girl and her mother's brother's son (cross-cousin) is a culturally accepted and legally valid practice in India. Ezhil x Kayalvizhi Kayalvizhi grew up with one dream, that one day she would marry Arjun. He was her first love, her childhood promise, her everything. Their families had always spoken about it like it was written in the stars. So when the wedding was finally fixed, her heart overflowed with happiness. She didn't care about a big career or chasing ambition. Being his wife was enough. But fate had other plans. Just hours before the wedding, Arjun leaves without a word, making her shattered at the edge of a life that no longer makes sense. In the midst of heartbreak, confusion, and family pressure, she is married off to his younger brother, Ezhil, the charming professor who had loved her in silence since childhood. Kayal enters this new marriage numb and unwilling. But Ezhil never asks for her love, only her peace. He gives her space, encourages her to study, to grow, to dream again. Slowly, through his kindness, she begins to find herself. The girl who once only wanted love begins to chase a future of her own, one her father had always wished for her. One she never thought she was strong enough to build. And somewhere in the quiet rhythm of their new life, shared in silence, in the way he saw her strength when she couldn't, her heart began to heal. She didn't realize when it started, but with every gentle word, every steady presence, every look that held more care than expectation, She began to fall in love again, not all at once, but slowly. Softly. Unexpectedly. Beautifully. Not with the boy she once dreamed of, But with the man who had loved her all along, quietly, patiently, completely.
