I've always wanted one thing. It wasn't simple nor was it easy, but that's the thing. It never is. It's the things we desire most in life that come at a cost. Some great poet must have said that or a philosopher. Maybe neither. This lust I've longed for all my life wasn't money, fame or any cliche one might think of the moment a single 20 year old American girl is mentioned. My true life story of suffering from a rare autoimmune disease of the liver, its diagnosis, prognosis, treatments, its debilitating impact on my life and how I learned, and am still learning, to cope with it day to day. Hopefully, this'll help someone dealing with something similar, because there is, in my eyes, not much worse than long term pain and long term illness, especially when there's not someone nearby who understands its debilitating nature.
