The Spiral Sisters: Geometries of Awakening
In the liminal spaces between cosmic terror and sacred wisdom, where shadows speak of infinite gulfs and spiral geometries map the territories of transcendence, the Sisters of the Inverse Spiral weave a new mythology. Their sacred markings describe mathematical certainties that unravel not just the Yellow King's theatrical horrors, but reality's comfortable illusions, revealing that beyond even the darkest cosmic abysses lies a truth more profound than terror-the infinite web of interconnection that binds all existence. Through their eyes, we learn that every spiral, turning ever outward toward infinity, eventually curves inward toward understanding, transforming the very nature of horror into a gateway for awakening.
Where candlelight wrestles with ancient darkness, new truths breathe...
(Inspired by the terrible cult of the Yellow King in the series True Detective. It is said to have its literary origins in: Robert W. Chambers' The King in Yellow, a collection of short stories published in 1895). This collection of stories has influenced writers from H.P. Lovecraft and Raymond Chandler, to Robert Heinlein, Grant Morrison, Neil Gaiman and George R. R. Martin.
In a mysteriously wealthy kingdom, tragedy strikes as the crown prince disappears overnight. His younger brother embarks on a quest to find him, uncovering clues deliberately scattered along the way. A enigmatic stranger with a wealth of secrets unexpectedly aids them in their pursuit, while an elusive entity lurks in the shadows, seemingly connected to this mysterious helper. As the trio delves deeper, they unearth a forgotten history, with its Creator wandering aimlessly, yearning to be rediscovered. The fate of heaven and earth hangs in the balance, posing the question of whether unity or destruction will prevail. Amidst the journey, the narrative explores whether humans and Gods can learn from their past or face demise at the hands of the very forces that once nurtured them.
P.S
It's my first story ever so I hope you enjoy it!
English is not my first language so I apologise for any mistakes:)
For those who find the first chapters boring -I'm sorry if you do:( -, you can also start reading from chapter 11 and then return for the information that exists in the early chapters. The story has two beginnings and the second one is in the chapter I suggested. I hope you have a good read!
