The Paris Campus

When Emma finds an initiation necklace in her Paris campus dorm, she is invited to compete for one of the seven Neophyte places in the Hermetic Order of Thoth, a secret society of Hermeticists.

The winners will become apprentices of the Order, securing a life of prestige and power beyond their wildest dreams. She sees this invitation as her opportunity to finally belong somewhere.

But then she is attacked by the Darkans, a sect of evil soul hunters seeking to rule the world through access and control of the hermetic knowledge. When they start murdering Neophytes one by one, Emma must decide whether she still wants to be part of the group. Is she willing to risk her life to satisfy her need for belonging?

Love complicates everything when the Order appoints James as her Mentor. Emma is fascinated by James, but they are from different worlds: he's the President of the Law Society, and part of the University's most popular group, and she's an ordinary girl who hates being the center of attention.

Romantic relationships between Mentors and Mentees are strictly forbidden and anyone found breaking this rule will be expelled. James is one of the rising stars of the Order and is set to move up to Fellow level soon. Will he stay on the road to success and resist the temptation? Will Emma put her Neophyte place at risk?
