Outside, the city's harsh sounds were drowned by the steady rush of the river. The water sloshed against the broken rocks as they approached the water's edge, the moonlight reflecting off its dark surface like a mirror of a past that couldn't be erased.

Jinx hesitated for a moment, staring at the water, her feet rooted to the ground. "This is where you...?" She trailed off, not sure how to finish the question. The stories she had heard-Silco's near-drowning-had always been shrouded in mystery and darkness, but there was something about this place that felt different, almost... sacred.

Silco turned to her, his eyes cold but laced with an unspoken intensity. "Yes," he replied, his voice distant. "I was reborn here. The water has a way of washing everything away. Your doubts, your fears. And when you rise again, you're not the same. You're stronger."

Jinx's gaze lingered on the water, her fingers tightening around the Gemstone as she stepped closer to the edge. "But what if I'm not strong enough?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.

Silco reached out, his hand firm on her shoulder, guiding her. "You will be. You don't have a choice, Jinx. The past doesn't define you anymore. You define who you are."

Jinx swallowed, her heart pounding in her chest. She stared at the ripples in the water, the memories of the past threatening to overwhelm her. What if I let go? she thought. What if I just... let it all go?

She took a deep breath, her fingers slipping from the Gemstone and letting it fall into the water, watching it disappear into the depths. The weight in her chest lightened, but there was still a nagging sense of loss.

Silco gave her a moment, his gaze steady. "Let the water take it. It's time for you to rise from it, Jinx. Let go of your past, and become who you were always meant to be."

Prison Break

20 parts Complete Mature

The most wanted criminal in Piltover, the infamous Jinx, is finally captured, much thanks to the sheriff's partner, Vi. Unfortunately, it happened accidentally, and just as Vi had learned her sister was seriously ill, and was finally starting to get through to her. To make things even worse, she then learns from Caitlyn that her sister will almost certainly be sentenced to death. But Vi isn't ready to give up on her sister so easily, especially not because of some topside laws. Besides, it's just concrete walls keeping Jinx in, and... she doesn't call Vi Fat Hands for nothing... This book took me WAY longer to write than I thought it would. I published a preview book for it as the second Arcane work I put out, and four books later, here it is. Better late than never, I guess. I hope you enjoy it. If you want to read the preview book first, it's called, "Intruder (Vi + reader) ". Content Warning: Visceral depictions of mental breakdowns, PTSD flashbacks, physical violence.
