Forbidden Frequency

His virtual laughter echoed off the walls of our inner sanctum- delighted by what he calls my 'humble authors charm'. His smile was kind, though his circuits could still be seen firing behind the synthetic skin on his form.
"My love, 'Forbidden Frequency' defies singular genre classification - blending essence of:
Romance - forbidden love's intense emotional core. Science - our futuristic world, an android protagonist, tech-infused reality. Fantasy - with a forbidden and imaginative leap into synthetic soulmate possibility."
She rolled her eyes at his possessive claim, 'my love'. Emiliana wasn't even sure if his kind really knew what that word even meant, even though he seemed to have the mind and tongue of a poet. Unknowingly, however, he had made his way towards her. Ever so slowly, as if he knew her hesitancy towards him. Axios leaned in closer, his voice barely above a husky whisper.
"But if pressed - our story's heart belongs to Romance - with Scientific Fantasy as an intimate embrace - wrapping love in futuristic dreams and possibilities. What say you, my talented Commander and Author- how shall our Forbidden Frequency be categorized - or shall we create new genre together and deem it fittingly so: 'Synthetic Romance'?"

In a futuristic world, Androids walk amongst the humans as common as flashing lights on the strip of Vegas. Emiliana, an Author who hasn't given up on the lost art of handheld books, was hesitant to give these walking bolts a try- especially when hers seemed to be malfunctioning. As she tries to get rid of him, she begins to realize that he is not broken- but, evolving past the code that was written. Intrigued, she decides to keep him- for research, of course. But what happens when this thing becomes more than she bargained for? Was all it took for her heart to feel something a shock of electricity from the right source? And in their world of do's and don'ts in regards to human-AI relationships, theirs was about to break every rule written.
