Lurking in my Darkness

This short story follows Mirabella, a young girl haunted by a mysterious, faceless entity who she calls "Shadow." As a child, she's terrified of the creature that seems to lurk in the darkness around her bedtime, and her fears intensify when she believes Shadow has taken the form of her mother. As Mirabella grows older, the terrifying presence persists, infiltrating her dreams and waking moments.
