Star shot the final free throw watching in what felt like slow motion to her, as the ball swooshed into the net. Joy filled her body as the buzzer ran and her point appeared on the score board granting her team the win. Her teammates quickly piled on top of her sharing the shared happiness over the win. Star dropped to her knees thanking God and kissing her hands to sky. Urgency filled her wanting to find Love and kiss her. Thank her for her support and see her beautiful crooked smile flashing her golds while wearing her jersey the perfectly complimented her brown skin but she wasn't there. Of course she wasn't there, why would she show up for the woman who broke her heart? _____ Hey everyone thank you so much for tuning into my story. I am taking my writing seriously now so this book will 100% be finished this year God willing . The reason I wrote this is because I simply cannot seem to consume enough black lesbian media and I want stories where homophobia and racism aren't a issue. We already deal with that in real life so fiction should be a place where we can escape (IN MY OPINION). Black lesbians that deal with regular problems and navigate them healthily ( sometimes). I am aiming to post once a week or every two, so can't wait for the progression of this story! Much Love, M.J

Drew Sinclair, a small-town basketball prodigy with an unstoppable drive, shocks the sports world by rising to fame as the best junior point guard in Michigan state. Known for her lightning-fast moves, court vision, and clutch performances, Drew carries her underdog team to an unlikely state championship, where she catches the attention of scouts from across the nation. When UConn-the pinnacle of women's college basketball-offers her a full scholarship, Drew's life changes overnight. Leaving behind her tight-knit community and the only world she's ever known, Drew steps into the high-pressure environment of elite college basketball. At UConn, she's surrounded by some of the most talented players in the game, including superstar Paige Bueckers and the fiercely competitive Nika Mühl. Drew quickly learns that being a small-town legend means little when you're competing with the best. Among her new teammates, Nika stands out as both a challenge and an enigma. Known for her fiery leadership and sharp tongue, Nika doesn't hesitate to push Drew to her limits, calling out mistakes and demanding perfection. At first, their dynamic is fraught with tension, with Drew determined to prove she belongs and Nika refusing to go easy on her. But beneath the clashes on the court, Drew begins to notice Nika's unwavering passion for the game and the quiet moments of encouragement she offers when no one else is watching.
