Luna Delgado had always been someone who gave her heart away too easily-trusting, kind, and endlessly hopeful that love would treat her as tenderly as she treated it. But time had taught her differently. Each of her past relationships had been tainted by betrayal, or worse, the taking of her kindness for granted. Now, as a medical student navigating a world of textbooks and patient care, she had grown cynical of love. Her heart, once open and vibrant, had slowly closed off, and the idea of someone truly understanding her seemed far out of reach.

Reese Navarro was nothing like the people Luna had known. Quiet, reserved, and completely absorbed in her studies, Reese had little time for distractions. She found solace in the order of textbooks and the rhythm of learning, rarely stepping outside her comfort zone. Yet, from the moment their paths crossed in the library, Reese couldn't help but be drawn to Luna. There was something about her-a softness in her spirit, an invisible sadness that Reese couldn't quite place. She admired Luna from afar, too shy to speak, but determined to find a way to connect.
