Unlike everyone else, Lenna feels it in the way she moves, the way she reacts, just a second too slow or too fast, never quite right. But no one ever noticed, until the world ended.

Now, survival feels familiar. Loneliness, being used, feeling lost. The same feeling, just a different time. She plays a part. Pretends to be scared. Pretends to be anything than what she is.

Because if they see it, if they question Sarah, if they understand what she is, she won't just feel isolated.
