An idea to face the chaos, to uncover the unknown, to balance the scales of survival and ambition. In the aftermath of the Hollows' emergence-those spatial anomalies that swallowed cities and birthed the ethereal monstrosities-humanity's existence teetered on the edge. New Eridu became the last bastion of civilization, thriving on the paradox of exploiting the very Hollows that threatened to consume it.

Factions arose, each with their own ideals, goals, and methods. From the defenders of Section 6 to the opportunists of Belobog Heavy Industries, and the silent hands of Victoria Housekeeping to the enforcers of the CISRT, humanity splintered into groups, unified only by their struggle against the Hollows.

But the cost of survival was high, and not all threats could be met with force alone. Beneath the surface of New Eridu's bustling streets and towering spires, secrets festered. The Hollows grew darker, their origins more cryptic. Ethereal phenomena began to defy even the brightest minds, and whispers of corruption began to spread.

So what if an idea becomes a reality? An idea to assemble seven individuals unlike any other, these seven who risk their lives and identities to uphold an idea-an idea that could mean the salvation or destruction of their city. This is VII."
