Five Nights at Freddy's: Book Three: The Ghost of the Past

Book 3: "Five Nights at Freddy's: Book Three" follows Mike Schmidt, who, still haunted by the horrors of his past at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, takes a job as a nighttime security guard at a rundown horror attraction based on the pizzeria's dark history. The attraction, filled with decaying animatronics, seems like a desperate attempt at closure, but Mike quickly realizes something is wrong as strange occurrences and paranormal activity intensify. Guided by cryptic phone calls from a mysterious figure, Mike uncovers the twisted legacy of William Afton, the man behind the animatronics' dark history, and his ongoing manipulation of the attraction. As he faces terrifying encounters with Springtrap and the phantom animatronics, Mike discovers that the attraction is a trap, pulling him back into the nightmare of his past.
As the hauntings grow more violent, Mike learns that Afton's twisted experiments continue through the animatronics, and the spirits of the children trapped within them are seeking revenge. In a final confrontation, Mike fights to destroy Springtrap and end the legacy of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza once and for all. The attraction burns to the ground, the ghosts are freed, and Afton's influence is seemingly destroyed. However, as Mike and Abby reflect on their survival, they realize that while the physical remnants of the nightmare are gone, its legacy lives on, with echoes of laughter haunting them in the distance. Despite their victory, the shadow of the past still lingers, and they must face the uncertainty of whether they can ever fully escape it.
