"What's the one thing you'd change about your life if you could?" I moan out, tightening my grip on his shoulders.
I feel him move out till the tip and I open my eyes to look at him. He glances at me for a moment before answering, "My marriage to you."
I bite the inside of my cheek, trying to hide the disappointment I feel.
Our marriage had indeed been a failure. He had been pressured into it, and I had been blinded by my hopes for it. But I thought we had moved past those issues. Our relationship had improved so much.
He gently caresses my cheek. "Ask me why."
"Why?"
His voice is hoarse as he replies, "I wish we had met under different circumstances, where I could have fallen in love with you. I would have knelt to propose to you and then kissed you at the altar, to show everyone that you are MINE. Only mine."
My lips part in shock and I gasp when he spills inside me. My eyes flutter close as I find my own release.
