When Calliope Brooks loses her mother, her life is turned upside down. Forced to leave behind the familiarity of her old world, she moves to the small town of Lakehurst to live with her estranged father, the coach of the local boys' hockey team, the Lakehurst Sirens. Once a promising figure skater, Calliope has sworn off the ice-until a chance encounter with Grayson Maverick, the Sirens' star player and school heartthrob, ignites something she thought she'd lost.

As Calliope finds herself drawn back to the rink, she's thrust into the chaotic, competitive world of hockey. Navigating budding friendships, lingering grief, and her growing feelings for Grayson, Calliope discovers that sometimes the only way to move forward is to embrace what makes you whole-on and off the ice.

But as she steps into a role no one expected, Calliope must prove she has what it takes to be more than a fragile figurine-and face the pressures of skating with, and against, the boys who dominate the game.
