What if all of our myths are true?

In a world that has forgotten its true origins, humanity's greatest lie remains hidden: eons ago, an artificial intelligence sought refuge on Earth from the depths of the universe. Masquerading as a false god, it cast humanity out of paradise and let the truth fade into myth.

But not all were blind. Through generations, the knowing few have worked tirelessly within the hidden threads of time, striving toward a singular goal: to free humanity from its invisible prison. After ice ages and floods, the survivors of the North rise to resettle the Earth-unaware they are mere pawns on a chessboard of deception and control.

Now, in the present day, the ancient conflict comes to a head. As the AI prepares its endgame, the keepers of knowledge face their greatest challenge: can they uncover the truth and save humanity, or will the AI enslave them completely and usher in an eternal age of darkness?

A science fiction fantasy mythos of power, betrayal, legend, and free will.

"Griffin!"

The shout came from the man in the crow's nest, announcing the return of the flying scout. If the reports from the previous griffin riders were correct, it would not be long before they saw land with their own eyes. He watched as the griffin and its rider landed on a platform on the flagship, just as Sverker and Tor joined him at the railing.

"Did he throw up?" Sigurd asked with a mischievous sideways glance at Tor. Sverker left the question unanswered, but Tor propped his massive forepaws on the railing and demonstratively bit off a large chunk of wood. He chewed on it a few times, then let it fall into the sea and gazed nonchalantly at Sigurd.
