After a last-minute change to her Christmas plans, Karen regrets choosing a random place to crash from her late mother's address book. Maybe she would have bailed out, had she known that Hunham was staying on-campus with the other holdovers (all boys, of course, including the rebellious but painfully lonely Angus Tully) as well as one of the school cooks, Mary, grieving her son. And had she known that her toes would be freezing overnight, and the closest thing to a decorated tree she'd see was on a Christmas card, Karen would have screamed at her past self to just persist home through the bitter cold anyway.
