Outcast

MHA FANFICTION; A chill runs up her back. The cold breath of Death washes over her, and she closes her eyes, almost welcoming it. But then it dissipated, as if Death itself had turned away from her, leaving her to the life-or-death choice as her feet balanced on the roof edge. As if she were a child trying to garner the attention of her indifferent guardian, she looked down into Death's cold hands and leaned forward. Her boots slipped on the concrete, and she was plunging at an increasing speed. Despite the internal organs rising in her body due to the change in gravity, she kept her mind calm. It was quiet; all thoughts were chased away by the knot of fear she quickly swallowed. Death's quiet encased her, and for once, she was not anxious. She was not afraid.
