Wyndellyn "Wyn" RothWyld, was the rightful Queen of Tyr. Since she had taken her first breath she had been prepared for it, resigned to it. It was her purpose.
No one expected the King of Ackardia to send an army, led by the famed and feared Faceless Knight, to invade. The world held its breath as her betrothed, the King of Tyr, was slaughtered upon his own throne.
Thus, in Tyrian tradition, everything under the former king's rule would belong to his murderer. The land, the mysterious power from the King of the Gods keeping all magic alive in Tyr, and... her.
Then he disappeared, leaving the kingdom in ruins, and a new false king on a stolen throne.
Without the true king on the throne, the magic in the kingdom is fading away and the land is dying. Her people are dying. And there is only one man who can save them all.
Three years later, as the would-be (and rightful) Queen, it is up to her to find the disappearing Knight and kill the imposter that dares to wear a crown that does not belong to him. All seems to be going according to plan, until she finds the rightful king. Washed up, slouched over, drunk, and missing an eye.
When the Gods begin to die, she must decide between her kingdom, her heart, and her Gods.
