"Sweet Lord," Damon's deep, velvety voice rumbled faintly from the other side of the door, the sound wrapping around me like a warm caress.
The door swung open with deliberate force.
Clad in his training uniform, the fabric clung to his broad shoulders and sculpted arms, each muscle seeming to pulse with restrained energy. His dark eyes locked onto mine.
I crossed my arms, defiance mingling with desire.
Adrian stormed in, his presence a sharp interruption, grabbing the intruder by the arm and practically dragging her out. "You must have a death wish," he muttered, voice low and charged. "Never get between them. Ever."
The air was electric, every unspoken word an echo of the undeniable truth: Damon was mine, and I was his.
"Baby," Damon started, his voice softer now, but I cut him off.
"Shut up," I shot back, slipping off my jacket, and letting it drop to the floor as I strode toward him.
