She has a father that for some odd reason is always disappointed in her. He seems to all see her mistakes. A sister that seem to have all their father's affection. Not to mention she is plagued by her own insecurities. 
 
Mateo is a brooding fire chef, that some might say is emotional constipated. His cold exterior makes it hard makes it impossible for anyone to get close, but that's the way he likes it. When he meets a center insecure chef he can't help but be instantly drawn to her.
