You might think I'm a bit of a "flirt, ladies' man, player" (or whatever word you prefer to call someone who can't seem to settle down) as you get to know my story.
But I can assure you, with all the heartache in the world, that I'm just an unlucky guy. My name is Alexander Gumball, or Alex if you prefer; and I have the most absurdly messed-up love life in the entire romantic universe.
Only 18 years old, and I've already made thousands of shitty decisions that, at some point, seemed like good ideas.
I could tell you this is just another self-help book -teaching you how to win someone's heart in three days or how to become perfectly mature and self-sufficient. But the only thing I can suggest is this: if you're really dreaming of making your relationship work and stumbled upon this book because of that... please, DON'T FOLLOW THESE RULES.
